Fire Safety
BAUST is aimed to provide a robust fire safety framework which will be implemented to secure the safety and wellbeing of everyone within the University Community and to protect the University’s assets. To achieve this, aim the University hereby makes the following commitments:
∙ To create and maintain suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments of all premises and activities within premises;
∙ To identify and implement reasonably practicable control measures to mitigate risks from fire;
∙ To provide suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training in fire safety to all staff and to provide training in the use of fire extinguishing equipment where appropriate;
∙ To specify emergency evacuation plans and their supervision;
∙ To regularly test evacuation and other emergency procedures and to maintain all emergency and precautionary equipment;
∙ To conduct regular fire safety inspections;
∙ To ensure effective liaison with the local fire authority.
To ensure all these purposes we have fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire lane, fire alarm pull station, emergency fire exit doors, plans in Campus and Halls.
